Washington Commanders: Making The Mascot

We’re very excited to share our ninth collaboration (!) with the Washington Commanders. Our “Making The Mascot” film is a longer form follow-up to the recently released Major Tuddy mascot teaser that was shared across a variety of media channels including social media and in stadium prior to Major Tuddy’s official reveal. Shot in documentary style over a few months, our creative agency directed the internal Washington Commanders content team on what would help create a compelling and detailed glimpse into the creation of their official mascot, Major Tuddy. We captured interactions with players from the past and present, fans, the club’s president, as well as Tuddy on the pitch for his reveal, including celebrations with the players after a touchdown.   Of major importance was to shoot the making of Major Tuddy’s mascot outfit by Bam Mascots in Toronto, Canada. During this capture we were able to highlight initial prototypes and illustrations all the way through to interviews with the hands-on craftspeople. The materials, drawings, and details were all included to show Major Tuddy’s creation in a variety of stages to help fans visually understand all the details that went into the making of Major Tuddy. You can watch […]

Washington Commanders: Introducing Major Tuddy

Our team at Riot NYC is thrilled to announce our latest collaboration with the Washington Commanders, marking a significant step in their historic rebrand with the introduction of their new and first ever mascot, Major Tuddy. The film, which was created to introduce Major Tuddy to fans on social media was also played at FedEx Field, and made a big impact and be eye-catching for both small screens and stadium-sized displays. Working with the Washington Commanders, we brought Major Tuddy to life in the green screen clips and combined it with footage from the Commanders archives to create a compelling story. Major Tuddy’s character pays homage to the nickname “The Hogs” given to a the Washington Redskins most famous offensive line that were responsible for Washington Redskins Super Bowl wins in the ’80s and ’90s. We also included scenes of the Hogettes, fans known for their wild outfits and pig snout masks.   With a mix of humor, player interactions, exciting visuals, and references to Washington Commanders history, we created a high-energy film that was shared on all the Commanders social media channels and received widespread coverage in media outlets. Stay tuned for our next project, “Making The Mascot,” a […]

Now that the 2022 holiday season is over we’re excited to be able to share the seasonal campaign from our good friends over at Coach that we helped to ideate. Fast forward to December and it’s been amazing to see many of our ideas and nostalgic inspiration being reinterpreted into the final holiday campaign assets with many cuts and clips being used as inspiration for the final live Feel the Wonder campaign. You can watch our Remember Wonder clip in the player above and see below some key clips that served as inspiration for the final campaign. Coach Foundation: Dreaming It Real

Our long-time relationship with Coach brought us to this new film for their associated non-profit agency, the Coach Foundation to help highlight the significant progress they’ve made in unlocking the dreams of 5,000 young people through scholarships. Our film would also serve as inspiration to encourage Coach employees to participate in the mentorship program, helping under represented youth with opportunities not regularly available to them. We created a touching and authentic film that highlights the impact the Coach Foundation is having on young people around the world. Utilizing raw, self-filmed personal messages alongside a subtle, yet eye-catching visual aesthetic our film is a true celebration of the amazing work the Coach Foundation is doing for young people that deserve a chance.
