Tiffany: Modern Love
As a lover of pinball and arcades, co-directing the Tiffany “Modern Love” window campaign film with Nastassja Simone was a dream come true. My childhood was filled with trips to the arcade, where I spent pocket money playing games like R-Type, Bubble Bobble, and Final Fight. My love for arcades and pinball has stayed with me, and I have fond memories of playing at Clockwork in the Lower East Side in more recent times.
Our “Modern Love” film brings to life four Tiffany Valentine’s Day windows inspired by the charm and feeling of 80’s arcades. With scene-setting VFX, a synthwave soundtrack, a rich color palette, and foley sound effects, the film takes the viewer on a visually stunning journey back in time. The film was shot over two days in December 2020 using vintage cinematic Canon K35 lenses, and the edit features 80’s-style techniques like CRT converters and purposeful double LUTing.
The film concludes with an arcade game visual, where a second player is seen entering the game. The final moments take place outside of our “Tiffany World” version of their New York flagship store, adding to the overall vintage feel of the film.
