Tiffany’s 2022 travelled from a London gallery to a festival stage to a skyline lit in blue, and we gave the whole year eighty seconds to shine.

Tiffany & Co. handed us its year so far: campaign films, red carpets, artist collaborations, high jewelry events, store openings, the craftsmen who make America’s trophies, and a brand exhibition in London. Hundreds of moments from every corner of the house, all wanting their second in the light.

We gave the reel a spine of six handwritten words, each one opening a chapter in Tiffany’s script: imagination, craftsmanship, creativity, individuality, connection, love. Then we cut it to move like the year did, quick and bright, never pausing long enough to let the sparkle settle.

Tiffany is Imagination

It opens in Chelsea, at Vision & Virtuosity, the exhibition Tiffany staged at the Saatchi Gallery from June to August 2022 to walk visitors through 185 years of the house. Outside stood Daniel Arsham‘s eroded Venus, its bronze weathered into Tiffany Blue. Inside, high jewelry glowed under its own small suns.

Tiffany is Craftsmanship

Then the workshop: loupes, torches, gloved hands and the patient polish of silver. Tiffany makes some of the most fought-over objects in American sport, the NFL’s Vince Lombardi Trophy among them, and the reel lets the craftsmen have their moment before the athletes ever do.

Tiffany is Creativity and Individuality

The middle of the reel belongs to the pieces and the people who wear them. The crown of thorns Tiffany made with Kendrick Lamar, set with more than 8,000 diamonds and worn when he headlined Glastonbury that June. Elsa Peretti’s Bean. The new Tiffany Lock bracelet and its line, No rules. All welcome. And the faces of the year’s campaigns, from Gal Gadot in high jewelry to Hailey Bieber for Tiffany T.

Tiffany is Connection

Tiffany Blue went out into the world. Harrods strung in blue lights, the Burj Khalifa glowing with the name, the Fifth Avenue flagship wrapped while it was rebuilt, About Love at billboard scale, and a crowd in its finest gathered on a museum staircase for one photograph.

Tiffany is Love

The last word is the oldest one. We close on About Love, Beyoncé and Jay-Z in the campaign’s soft white light, and on the Tiffany Diamond, the 128.54-carat yellow stone found in 1877, resting on the colour it made famous.

2022 was a year Tiffany kept us close. Alongside this reel we told the house’s 185 years of history, gave Tiffany Lock a sizzle of its own and closed the season with the Holiday 2022 Sizzle: four films, four facets of the same blue.
