Aerospike: The Right Now Economy

It’s never been more important for companies to offer fast, safe, and seamless technology solutions. Real-time data platform Aerospike approached us to create a cinematic and visually dynamic film that would help highlight their impressive product suite.

Tech films are usually very practical and only show actual use-case scenarios. For our film, we wanted to be different, more cinematic, and use abstraction to demonstrate a variety of complex topics covered in the film.

Drawing inspiration from classic movies such as Christopher Nolan’s “Inception” and Darren Aronofsky’s “Requiem for a Dream,” we crafted otherworldly imagery that visually challenges the viewer to pay attention. Our “Inception” inspired upside-down worlds engage and draw the viewer in from the get-go and our “Requiem for a Dream” style quick-cut moments help us show the rapid thoughts that might be going through a customer’s mind as they are about to make a purchase.

Real-world scenarios were used to demonstrate the sheer amount of information being processed at any point in time on the Aerospike network. From traffic to transportation and people we utilize these scenarios to help visualize data streams in a way that is easily understandable to the viewer. “The Right Now Economy” is a unique, fast-paced, cinematic, high-fashion-style film highlighting subject matter that is traditionally difficult to visualize.
